1. What This Page Is For

Kurato lets users save links to web pages into private, personal collections. At the user's direction, the app stores a preview image from a saved page so the user's collection keeps working even if the source page changes. These copies are made at the individual user's request, are kept in that user's private collection area, are not publicly browsable or indexed, and are deleted when the user removes the link or their account.

If you believe content stored through Kurato infringes your copyright or is otherwise illegal, this page explains how to notify us. We process every notice in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary, and objective manner.

2. How to Submit a Notice

Send your notice by email to:

To help us act quickly, please include:

An identification of the copyrighted work (or other content) you claim is infringed, and a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why you consider the content illegal or infringing
The exact location of the material on our service — for example the image URL (our stored image URLs begin with firebasestorage.googleapis.com) or any other information that lets us identify the specific content
Your name and email address, and, where applicable, the rights holder you are authorized to act for
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
Your physical or electronic signature

The first two items are required for us to locate and assess the content; the remaining items are required for a formal notice under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). Notices from the European Union are handled in accordance with Article 16 of the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065).

3. What Happens Next

We will confirm receipt of your notice by email without undue delay
We will review the notice and, where it is substantiated, expeditiously remove or disable access to the identified content
We will notify you of our decision
Where required, we will inform the user who stored the content and give them an opportunity to respond (including, for U.S. notices, a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g))

4. Repeat Infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.

5. Misuse of This Process

Knowingly submitting materially false claims of infringement can carry legal liability (including under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f)). Repeated submission of manifestly unfounded notices may lead us to suspend processing of notices from the submitter, in line with Article 23 of the Digital Services Act.
